Pop Marshal are Andy, Jonny, and Nick, a three-piece from across the UK. They play fast, melodic punk drawing on the UK’s rich DIY lineage, and blending grit, heart, and melody into sharp, anthemic songs.Musically, Pop Marshal take cues from UK punk staples like Leatherface, while also drawing on the angular textures of 90s emo and post-hardcore. Think Samiam, Jawbox, Unwound, Seam.Their debut album Rejoice! set the tone with big hooks and emotional clarity. The follow-up, I Can't Wait to Never See You Again, builds on that sound: more confident, more varied, and more sure of its place in the UK's punk landscape.Andy Barnard: Guitar and vocals
Andy brings years of experience and a distinct style shaped by his work with bands like Donfisher, Servo, Ohno Express, Gan, and Headsparks. His driving, melodic playing forms the backbone of Pop Marshal’s sound.Jonny Waterman: Drums
Jonny played in Gan and Headsparks alongside Andy, and brings a rare mix of power and musicality to the drums. He plays with speed and force but it’s his creative beats and melodic fills that give the songs extra depth and energy.Nick Daniels: Bass
Nick returned to bass after years on guitar in bands and solo projects. His playing sits tight with Jonny’s drums while weaving through Andy’s guitar lines, drawing on '90s emo to add tension and texture.2026 shows
